HP JumpStart is an onboarding and discovery application preinstalled on many HP Windows PCs. After the initial Windows setup, it guides you through post-setup tasks such as device registration, creating or signing in to an HP account, enabling support and warranty services, and exploring tutorials tailored to your model. It also highlights optional offers—like trials, cloud storage, and recommended apps—through HP JumpStart Apps, and provides quick links to drivers, updates, and help resources. A background component called HP JumpStart Bridge enables communication between the app and system services. The program isn’t required for normal operation and can be disabled or uninstalled if you prefer a minimal setup.
